Restover

A website that proves the product.

Restover homepage with the headline 'Everything your restaurant needs. In one platform.'

The brief

A marketing site for a restaurant platform has to earn trust in seconds and prove, by existing, what it promises: speed, care and an eye for detail. No template, no page builder. A distinct, editorial voice that feels like the product behind it.

Design in motion

Craft

Editorial typography in Fraunces and Inter carries the page; each section reads like a chapter. Motion follows one grammar: a shared set of easings and timings, soft smooth-scrolling, a hero device that tilts as you scroll, horizontally pinned sections and dark, candlelit chapters. All of it honours prefers-reduced-motion and falls back to native scrolling on touch.

Bilingual, right to left

Language

The site speaks German and Arabic and Arabic means real right-to-left: a mirrored layout via logical CSS properties, mirrored arrows and motion, even the horizontally pinned sections run the correct way. Not a `dir` flag bolted on afterwards, but bilingual by design.

Trust, built in

Trust

Here, trust is an engineering decision. No trackers, no analytics, no marketing cookies. Fonts self-hosted, product images from an EU object store in Falkenstein no US sub-processor, and images swap without a deploy. The contact form validates server-side, rate-limits over hashed IPs and checks the origin privacy built in, not bolted on.

Copy the code keeps honest

Editorial as code

For fiscal law, Restover Basic is a pre-system, not a certified point-of-sale system and the copy isn't allowed to blur that. So a custom CI check guards the content: if a Pro term like 'TSE' or 'KassenSichV' appears on a Basic page without a clear disclaimer, the build fails. Unicode-aware, down to Arabic. Editorial governance as code so a casual copy edit never becomes a legal promise.
