What interests me is what happens when software gets older. When two people save at the same time. When the network drops mid-transfer and the device only comes back hours later. When the code I'm asked to change has been around longer than I've been on the team, and there's nobody left to ask.

I like those places better than an empty project. Something is already running, people depend on it, and it still has to be possible to change it without something else falling over.
